Creating a Web Page

  1. Log in to your Control Centre and select the Content menu tab.
  2. Once expanded, select Web Pages.
  3. Select the Add Page button.
  4. Fill in your Page Title and Page Heading.
  5. Leave the Status as Active and the Menu Display as Visible to display the Web Page.
  6. Leave the Page Type as New Page.
  7. The URL field will create a URL based off of the Page Title.
    Note: General practice rules apply for URLs. Please read the General URL Rules article if you wish to make changes to the URL.
  8. Expand the Page Layout section and select the Website layout.

Menu Settings

The Menu Settings are used to control where the Web Page is shown on the website.

Main Navigation

To make a Web Page appear along the top menu of the website, follow the steps below:

  1. Select the website-top-menu tag.
  2. Leave the Open Link In field as Same Window.
  3. If you would like to order your Web Pages you can also include a weighting.
    Note: Weighting can be used to re-order the position of your Web Pages. The higher the number, the higher up the list your Page will appear.

Sub Navigation

To make a Web Page appear in the drop down of a main navigation item, follow the steps below:

  1. Leave the Tags field blank.
  2. Leave the Open Link In field as Same Window.
  3. From the Parent Page field, choose the main navigation item you wish this page to appear under.
  4. If you would like to order your Web Pages you can also include a weighting.
    Note: Weighting can be used to re-order the position of your Web Pages. The higher the number, the higher up the list your Page will appear.

Page Content

There are multiple types of content that can be linked to a Web Page, such as:

  • New Content
  • Existing Content
  • Forms
  • Polls

PLEASE NOTE: You can add as many Content Holders to a Web Page as necessary. There are many reasons for splitting your content into multiple Content Holders, however the most common is to accommodate having a large section of text and a Web Form on one page.

Listed here are how to add each of these to the web page:

New Content

  1. Click the New Content Holder button.
  2. Fill in the Title.
  3. Leave the Status as Published.
  4. Add and format your content using the Toolbar.
  5. Click Save.

Existing Content

  1. Select Content Holder from the Page Content drop down box.
  2. Search the list of existing Content Holders and click the Select button to link it.

Forms

PLEASE NOTE: The form must be created within the Control Centre before being able to link it to the Web Page.

  1. Select Form from the Page Content drop down box.
  2. Select the form from the Select a form drop down list.

Polls

PLEASE NOTE: The poll must be created within the Control Centre before being able to link it to the Web Page.

  • Select Poll from the Page Content drop down box.
  • Search the list of existing Polls and click the Select button to link it.

Don’t forget to click Save.

If you would like to save your work but aren’t ready for the Web Page appear on the website, uncheck the Status box to make it inactive.
