Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small bit of code that is saved on the viewer’s computer that saves information about the user. This information is then returned to the website while browsing the site. Each cookie is coded differently to provide different information.

As a requirement of the GDPR you’re required to provide information of what cookies are used and how they are being used. You are also required to have a popup notification which directs the viewer to the Cookie Policy.

It’s important to note that Schoolzine websites are very light on cookies. Typically, the only cookies being used are those used by 3rd parties such as Google analytics.

The cookie policy can be found in the footer of your website.

Adding your own Cookie Policy

If you wish to have a different cookie policy, you are able to add your own and overwrite the default policy.

  1. Log in to your Control Centre and select the Content tab.
  2. Once expanded, select Content Holders.
  3. Find the Cookie Policy content holder and click on the name.
  4. Select the Edit Holder button.
  5. Add in your content and apply any necessary styling using the toolbar menu, this includes inserting any hyperlinks, documents or images.
  6. Once you have saved the Content Holder, you will be able to view the changes on your website.

PLEASE NOTE: If the Cookie Policy and Cookie Pop-up are not already enabled in your account you will need to contact Schoolzine.
